About José Clemente Orozco
Jose Clemente Orozco, born on November 23rd, 1883, in modern-day Ciudad Guzman. Orozco’s family moved to Mexico City in 1890, where Orozco found a passion for art and painting after he attended a work shop by Jose Guadalupe Posada, a famous printmaker in Mexico. Orozco would initially pursue a career in architecture, but after a firework incident, Orozco would have his left hand amputated, leading to him finding a renewed passion for painting.
