Chico Macmurtrie is an Irish-Mexican-American born in 1961, grew up on the US-Mexico border, living between Naco, Arizona, and Naco, Sonora. Macmurtire experienced what life was like on both sides of the border and seeing how interwoven both communities were until he returned from college where some of the first border walls were built. Macmurtires most impactful work has reflected the sense of community he grew up with along the US-Mexico Border.
